Ho ho ho - it’s that time again!
With Christmas fast approaching around the corner, the hidden Santas of London rise again to march the streets of London.
I’ve always wanted to attend one of these for the last few years, but things would always creep up and I’d miss the opportunity. To be able to finally go, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect at first. However, it might just be one of the craziest things you could ever experience. Brussel sprouts thrown around everywhere, beers being chugged down left right & centre, and occasional wrestling matches in the middle of London streets with iconic Christmas hits playing in the background - it was the most hilariously outrageous street party/parade I’ve ever witnessed.
And it was so much fun! It also felt a little inspiring too, to walk with lots of people who were out to publicly & outrageously enjoy themselves in costume, without any regards to what other people might say. Sure, there were a few understandable complaints about brussel sprout throwing being unsafe. However it also makes me think - do I still hold myself back from doing things that make me happy, because of what other people think? If the cost of happiness may mean becoming a public spectacle, then is that really so bad?
So, allow me to present (no pun intended) to you, the 2018 Santas of London. Happy holidays to everyone celebrating!
